We Are Equipped to Handle Any Job Quickly

We have extensive printing equipment inventory. Since printing is considered a manufacturing business, our equipment choices have a major impact on how well we can perform. Our philosophy of providing consistent, on-time delivery, and the highest quality printed images is made possible by our job workflow systems, our talented team of coworkers, and our top-notch equipment.

TPS has established itself as a leader in the San Diego printing industry by staying ahead of the curve with the latest printing and bindery technology. Our stateoftheart machinery allows us to push the boundaries beyond a standard print shop’s capability to deliver a wide range of high-quality products with speed, efficiency, and consistency. Our increased capabilities mean you won’t only get your products faster and at a higher quality, but most importantly, you won’t have to compromise your vision for your project.

Digital Printing

Digital printing capabilities have made leaps and bounds over the years. Our Kodak NexPress SX3300 is a prime example of the kind of versatility digital printing can offer. The SX Platform supports over 800 different substrates. It allows us to print on a wide range of materials from coated and uncoated paper to plastics, magnets, linen stock, synthetics, and many more. The NexPress boasts a powerful front end integrated with the Adobe PDF Print Engine to offer scalable solutions, incredibly fast image-intensive file handling times, and the kind of processing power needed to take on complex, high volume jobs with reliability and efficiency. With the Kodak NexPress Intelligent Calibration System, we can maintain peak quality and uniformity in our printing and deliver your projects with exceptional consistency. Also, in our digital printing lineup is the Ricoh Pro 907EX. The Ricoh offers outstanding productivity, ultra-fast printing and finishing speeds and the power to take on high-volume print projects with efficiency. A durable engine isn’t the only thing our Ricoh has to offer – it also provides a wide range of finishing options: booklet-making, saddle-stitching, cover insertion, and ring-binding.

Offset Printing

Our offset printing lineup includes two powerhouse presses, which are perfect for letterhead, business cards, catalogsNCR forms, IFU packaging, and much more. First on our list is the Komori Sprint GS 228. Our Komori uses the highest quality printing process in the industry. The Sprint GS 228 produces prints with rich, smooth solids, without the streaking found in lesser quality prints. Likewise, our Heidelberg Quickmaster delivers the highest quality available for custom Pantone inks and special effects like spot varnishes. The Heidelberg uses real ink instead of toner, giving us complete control over color accuracy. And just like our digital presses, the Quickmaster can print on an impressive range of materials.

Wide Format Printing

Our Mimaki UJCV300-160 comes from the incredibly innovative and versatile UCJV series in Mimaki’s lineup of inkjet printers. This machine is a unique, state-of-the-art continuous printer and cutter. The UJCV300-160 model features a four and 5-layer print mode. This exciting new function allows us to expand the area of print application even further, giving you more creative space while maintaining the highest quality output. These specialized features enable us to print on material up to 60” wide and reach a resolution of 1,200 DPI. The Mimaki uses scratch-resistant and environmentally friendly LED-UV inks capable of printing custom designs and shapes on numerous substrates, including uncoated materials. These features make the Mimaki ideal for vinyl, floor graphics, vehicle graphics, outdoor advertisements, posters, backlit graphics, banners, decals, canvas wraps, and countless other products. Your wide-format printing options don’t stop there. Our Flora PP2512UV is a highly versatile UV printer, able to print on substrates up to 4″ thick and a sheet size of 4′ x 8′. This flatbed inkjet printing machine allows us to reach an incredibly high resolution of up to 1440 x 1440 DPI. Whether you’re looking to print on foam-core, styrene, metal, wood, acrylic, or dibond, the Flora will get your job done with precision and the highest quality.

The Colex Flatbed Cutter is an impressive piece of machinery that is a perfect combination of versatility and speed. The Colex cuts 2-dimensional signage, decals and banners. It can also cut intricate lettering as well as routing. This amazing cutter has the ability to cut 3-dimensional product displays by contour cutting and trimming for rigid and flexible material like PVC Board, Foam Board and Dibond. It is also a great asset for creating mockups and prototypes for packaging solutions. Digital Folding Cartons, chipboard, and corrugated materials are a breeze for this amazing machine.

Bindery

Printing presses alone do not define a great print shop. Bindery work is equally as important in producing a high-quality, finished product. Our bindery and finishing services include collating, stitching, laminating, perforating, folding, hole-drilling, numbering, and shrink-wrapping. Depending on your project needs, any or all of these services could serve an indispensable role in creating the finished, functional product you envisioned, down to the smallest details.

The Matrix MX-530P is an exciting addition to our lineup that offers advanced capabilities in foil stamping, laminating, and spot UV. The Matrix’s pneumatic pressure rollers allow for up to 50% faster lamination, meaning speedier production times that will get your specialized products in your hands sooner than print shops with standard systems or those that outsource their finishing processes. Our HorizonAdvanced Booklet-Making System includes a saddle-stitcher, trimmer, folder, and collator. The Horizon employs a rotary pulse vacuum feed system and a high power, double-feed detect sensor. Together, these features create high speed and continuous collating, folding, and stitching experience from start to finish.

The Viva Inspection System on our Horizon Booklet Maker is an inspection system that helps to verify the integrity of the final product and virtually eliminate common pagination errors during the bindery process. This system gives our Biotech, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries assurance of the accuracy of their critically regulated information.
